An extraordinary month with the new Porsche Macan 4S

In January, I had the pleasure of experiencing the fully electric Porsche Macan 4S from Porsche Zentrum Basel as a test driver – a month that truly surprised me in many ways.

To be honest, I started this journey with some hesitation. An electric vehicle never quite aligned with my lifestyle: spontaneous, dynamic, often here today and somewhere else tomorrow. Questions around charging, timing, and infrastructure made me unsure – especially as I’m not equipped for charging at home.

That’s exactly why January was the perfect test month. Traveling frequently between Zurich and St. Moritz, facing changing road and weather conditions, as well as the challenge of finding suitable charging stations, allowed me to experience the Macan in real-life conditions.

The first days came with a learning curve – where to charge, how long, how to plan. But this uncertainty quickly turned into confidence, and soon into genuine enthusiasm.

What impressed me most is the Macan 4S’s unique balance of silence, power, and comfort. The almost noiseless interior creates a completely new driving experience – reduced, focused, almost meditative. The interior design, passenger display, and intuitive app control elevate technology and aesthetics to a level I had not expected.

During winter, the range was around 380 km – perfectly suitable for my routes. Fast charging stops of about 20 minutes or relaxed overnight charging proved to be highly practical once I identified the right stations.

Another highlight was the driving safety, even under demanding conditions such as the Julier Pass. The combination of SUV comfort and sports car performance delivers both control and elegance at all times.

With 516 hp, acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and a range of up to 609 km, the Macan 4S brings together performance, style, and a new form of conscious mobility.

As a jewelry designer, I see a deep connection between fine jewelry and automobiles – both represent craftsmanship, precision, and emotion. The Macan in Provence perfectly reflects these values.

My conclusion: for Switzerland – and for my lifestyle – the Macan 4S is a surprisingly ideal companion.
