In the heart of Zurich’s Seefeld district, my winetime AG offers a unique blend of professional wine storage and private club atmosphere. It is a place where wine culture, expertise, and meaningful encounters come together.
We spoke with co-founder Jacqueline Blumer about the vision behind my winetime, the value of slowing down, and why wine remains one of the most authentic ways to connect people.

Jacqueline, you have created a very special place with my winetime. How did the idea for a private members’ club for wine and cigar enthusiasts come about?
The idea grew out of a deep personal passion. For me, wine has always been much more than a beverage, it is a cultural asset that brings people together.
The decisive moment was almost cinematic. A rediscovered golf ball unexpectedly reunited me with my business partner, Daniel Studer, after years without contact. Through conversations about wine, hospitality, and community, a shared vision quickly emerged. We wanted to create the kind of place we felt was missing in Zurich: a sophisticated environment that combines highly professional wine storage with a private space for like-minded people to meet and connect.
The result is my winetime, a 710-square-metre sanctuary in the heart of Zurich, accessible 365 days a year, around the clock. A private retreat where quality and genuine encounters form the foundation.
Zurich is increasingly being recognised as an international wine destination. How do you see this development, and what role does my winetime play within it?
Zurich has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. Interest in rare vintages, wine education, and private collections continues to grow. As expectations evolve, so does the demand for places where this lifestyle can be experienced.
We see my winetime as part of this new chapter. Our goal is to combine international wine culture with Swiss hospitality and provide a setting where passionate collectors, entrepreneurs, and wine lovers can pursue their interests while building meaningful relationships.
Your concept combines private wine storage with an exclusive social environment. What makes this balance between privacy and community so special?
It is the perfect balance. Great wines need ideal conditions to mature, and people to enjoy them with.
Our concept brings together professional, discreet storage and the welcoming atmosphere of a private club. Wine is not simply stored away. It is shared, discussed, and celebrated among people who appreciate it.
Many members store their personally curated collections here. What does the concept of time mean to you, both in relation to wine and to enjoyment itself?
Time is perhaps the most important ingredient of a great wine. It teaches patience, rewards anticipation, and reminds us that some things cannot be rushed.
In a world that constantly accelerates, wine invites us to slow down. Moments of genuine enjoyment have become a rare luxury. At my winetime, we create space for those moments, whether through a quiet tasting, a meaningful conversation, or simply the pleasure of being present.

Atmosphere plays a central role in your club. How important are aesthetics and design in creating a true world of enjoyment?
For us, aesthetics are not decoration, they are part of the experience itself.
We wanted to create a place that immediately sparks curiosity and makes people feel welcome the moment they enter. Elegant, relaxed, and timeless. Architecture, materials, and design help communicate the appreciation we have for craftsmanship, quality, and culture.
The magic of a rare wine unfolds most beautifully in an environment that engages all the senses.
Beyond wine, your club is also about connection and networking. What are the most memorable moments for you?
The moments that stay with me are often the most spontaneous ones.
When two people who have never met before start talking over a glass of wine and end up forming a friendship, launching a business partnership, or simply sharing an unforgettable evening, that is when the concept truly comes alive.
Many of these evenings continue in our private cigar lounge, where conversations deepen in an intimate and elegant atmosphere.
Our calendar of events also plays an important role. From international wine tastings and Champagne dinners to culinary experiences with renowned chefs and curated lifestyle events, each gathering creates new opportunities for connection.
Recently, our venue even hosted the private 40th birthday celebration of Tessy of Luxembourg. Seeing people come together in such a meaningful way reminds us why we created my winetime in the first place.
Looking ahead, how do you see the future of wine culture and where does my winetime fit into it?
The focus is shifting from quantity to quality. Provenance, craftsmanship, authenticity, and conscious consumption are becoming increasingly important.
At the same time, people are longing for real, analogue experiences that cannot be replicated digitally. Curated spaces for private gatherings, business dinners, tastings, and celebrations will continue to gain relevance.
That is where I see my winetime: as a platform for sophisticated enjoyment, where wine, culture, networking, and memorable experiences naturally come together.
